The Wilmington Early Learning Center enjoyed a wonderful visit from Senator Carper on Monday, April 29th.  Ms. Oliver, the Neighborhood House Director, also joined Senator Carper for the beginning of his visit and she brought along her Board Chair, Freeman Williams – who is also the Superintendent of the Christina School District.  The visit gave us a wonderful opportunity to brief Senator Carper as well as Dr. Williams concerning the good work that we do in Southbridge.  Dan Rich, Chair of the State ECE Council, joined the group as well.  Following the meet and greet the Senator spent about 30 minutes in the classrooms interacting with the children and staff.   The Senator was impressed with the quality of the program and the dedication of the staff.  Please visit Senator Carper’s Facebook page for some great pictures of his visit.
