The Early Learning Center

Welcome New ELC Interim Director

The UD Early Learning Center is proud to welcome our new Interim Director, Dr. Linda Zankowsky, to the ELC family!

Linda has 29 years of experience as a reading specialist, classroom teacher, and leader in Delaware public and independent schools.  She served as the principal at Townsend Elementary School in the Appoquinimink School District and at Mt. Pleasant Elementary School in the Brandywine School District.  Additionally, Linda was appointed the Head of Wilmington Montessori School for many years.  She has since served as an adjunct instructor at the UD and most recently she held the title of Associate Director of the UD Office of Clinical Studies, which annually places approximately 1600 UD students in local schools.

Linda is known by her peers as a strong advocate for children and families and she is a leader on the topic of building professional learning communities among staff. To say we are excited about what the next two years holds for us here at the ELC serving under Linda’s direction would be an understatement!

Please join us in welcoming Dr. Linda Zankowsky!
